These photographs were taken on the rural lanes of Co. Clare in Ireland. On this walk, I felt like I was in a dream land. Summer was at it’s height and the hedgerows and fields were lush and full of colour and life. The light in the west of Ireland has a surreal quality and taking my camera for a walk in that light with the heady smell of the land and the verdant flora was a joy. Freed by the simplicity of a box camera and old film stock, I could re-imagine the landscape.
